Court of Honor – May 16, 2013

Our May CoH was short and sweet.  Congratulations to all of the Scouts who earned Merit Badges or Rank Advancement.  And a special congratulations to the Hornet Patrol, this year’s winner of the First Aid Competition.

Philmont Practice Hike at Hawk Mountain - May 2013

The Troop 137 Philmont Crew went to Hawk Mountain to get their legs and minds ready for their hiking and camping adventure this summer. 

 

Mother’s Day Flower Sale – May 10-11, 2013

This year’s Flower Sale was a huge success!  The many shifts of boys sold a wide variety of fragrant and beautiful plants.

Eagle Scout Court of Honor - May 5, 2013

Congratulations to the newest Troop 137 Eagles Scouts! At Upper Salford Township Park, the Troop 137 family celebrated the accomplishments of Evan Mundie, Ryan Harkins, Steve McNamara and Levi Schneck. These men have completed a long journey of achievement. Now the entire Duct Tape Patrol consists of Eagles:  5 for 5!

Troop 137 Bike / Camping Trip

We started our adventure at the Art Museum in Philadelphia and rode along the river on the Schuylkill River Trail.  As soon as we left the SRT near Valley Forge we picked up the Perkiomen Trail and stopped for lunch.  After loading up on food and having something to drink we headed out to Green Lane Park at the end of the Perkiomen Trail.  At the end of the ride, we covered 42.5 miles, more than most of us had ever ridden a bike.  Boy, were our legs and backsides sore!

Pancake Breakfast

Troop 137 and the Lions Club hosted their annual pancake breakfast! Everyone did a great job serving, cleaning and eating. It was a very nice morning!

A New Scoutmaster

Thank you, Mr. Mac!  As the Troop 137 Scoutmaster for many years, you were great leader and taught all of us boys how to grow up into responsible young men. You will be missed very much! 

Congratulations, Mr. Haslam! You are now the new Scoutmaster of Troop 137. We know you will be great for the job.
